The Ugandan multi talented singer Azawi dropped her maiden album, African Music that features some of Uganda’s top artists.
Before the official release of the album, Azawi held two listeners’ parties where she opened up on how she came up with the songs on the album, her inspirations, producers, and a lot more.
She also narrated how she joined the giant record label Swangz Avenue.
According to Azawi, she had gone to Swangz Avenue to sell her “Quinamino” song to Winnie Nwagi but the bosses were amazed by her exceptional talent. They encouraged her to sing the song herself.
She used the opportunity to inform them that she had more songs that were ready to be released. These songs included, Lo Fit, Repeat it among the others that made it to her debut EP 2020.
Before joining Swangz Avenue, Azawi worked as a writer for Pia Pound’s manager Kusseim at Eddy Kenzo’s Big Talent Entertainment.
